ROAD CONSTRUCTION


Grant Parish Gets Another $ 15,000 from the State for Model Roads

It affords the Chronicle much pleasure to inform its readers that all doubts
is now removed as to the letting of the contract at an early date for the
building of the model road north westerly via Aloha from Colfax to Montgomery
thence to Verda thence to Aloha this now being an assured Parish enterprise.

Mr. J. W. Duncan, president of the Policy Jury accompanied by attorney J. D.
Roberts went to Baton Rouge last weekend and after some consultation and
correspondence have secured the assurance from the proper authorities that we
shall receive aid from the state to the amount of $15,000 to assist the parish
in constructing this important highway.
