OWEN GETS FIRST TIRE UNDER NEW PLAN

L. C. Owens rural mail carrier of Montgomery was the first person in Grant
Parish to purchase a tire under the new rationing plan.  His application was
given an OK Saturday Jan the 10th.  

A list of authorized inspectors in the parish are:

Colfax:
H. O. Walters
Arion Riser

Montgomery:
F. G. Rhodes
Donald Harrison

Pollack:
B. M Powers

Dry Prong:
D. A. Beltz

Georgetown:
Jesse Edwards

Until further notice the board will meet every Saturday at 1:00 o'clock int eh
Police Jury rooms at the courthouse here in Colfax.  Anyone holding a
certificate can purchase the tire or tires from any retail dealer
