The blow is said to have been inflected with a carpenter's square or an old cane knife. Ike Williams has been lying in a critical condition, the doctors having to extract a portion of his skull nearly two inches in extent to relive the brain. The roe is said to be the result of a disagreement between Ike and his wife who have been living separately for some times past.
