Alderman Services for Enoch "Bill" Verdayne Alderman were at 3 p.m. Thuesday in Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Lloyd Whitman, Randy Tyler and Ron Nation officiating. Burial was in oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Pineville. Alderman, 73 of Colfax died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at his residence. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Colfax. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a trucker. Surviviors include four sons, Larry Enoch Alderman of Ethel, Miss., James "Bo" Verdayne Alderman of Atlanta, Douglas Austin White of Gurdon, Ark., and Dwight David White of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Sandra Alderman Woodard and Laura Nadine Alderman Vallery, both of Colfax; his mother, Estelle Alderman of Koscuisko, Miss; four brothers, Tommy Alderman of Oklahoma, Wayne Alderman and Billy Alderman, both of Koscuisko, Miss., and Gerald Alderman of California; seven sisters, Katie Alderman Lowery of Greenwood, Miss, Doris Alderman DeVorak of California, Ruby Alderman Newsome of Ventura, Calif., Linda Alderman Gardner of Georgia, Esther Alderman Howell of California, Mary Alderman Garrett of Mississippi and Gearl Dean Alderman Burleson of Jackson, Mis.; nine grandchildren and five great grand children.
