All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** AMBERG, Frank Frank Amberg, widely known Grant Parish resident, died in Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, early Wednesday morning, following a heart attack which he suffered at his home near Georgetown at noon Tuesday. Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon, with burial following in the Starks Cemetery, under direction of Hixson Brothers of Alexandria. Mr. Amberg, for 33 years served as a member of the Grant Parish Police Jury, and for 50 years drove a school bus for the school board. He retired from public service two years ago. He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church near Georgetown. Surviving are one son, Larry Amberg of Tioga; two daughters, Mrs. Sybil Richards of Tioga and Jan Amberg of Georgetown; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Cathey of Georgetown; two grandchildren.
