All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** GUS ANTEE OF MONTGOMERY DIES Colfax Chronicle, 1963 Gus Antee of Route 1, Montgomery died May 27, 1963 at the Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held May 29 at the Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. C.W. Brooks and the Rev. A.J. Allen officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Stroud, Grover Lee Stroud, O.B. Skains, L.C. Mooty, L.G. Moore and Johnnie Bishop. The deceased was 88 years of age at the time of death. He was born in Grant Parish and spent his early childhood there. Mr. Antee was married to the former Louise Baillio, who survives him, and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery. Other survivors include four sons, Ramie Antee of Montgomery, Gus and Bernell Antee, both of Chicago, Ill., and Millard Antee of Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Cornie Welch of Montgomery and Mrs. Lena Lawson of Pineville, one brother, J.R. Antee of Montgomery; one sister, Mrs Lillie Harp of McComb, Ms; 31 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Notes: Gus was the son of Remy Anty/Antee & Josephine Dubois)
