HERCHEL L. ANTEE
Nov 9, 1932 - Apr 4, 1994

Retired Staff Sgt. Hershel L. Antee, 61, of 1727 35th Street, Columbus, died
Monday at his home.

The funeral will be 2 PM today at McMullen Mortuary, Columbus, with burial in
Parkhill Cemetery, with full military honors.

Sgt. Antee was born Nov. 9, 1932 in Montgomery, La., son of Ramie and Melinda
Thompson Antee.  He lived in Columbus 10 years and retired from the U.S. Army
after 20 years, during which he won the Purple Heart for wounds received in
the Vietnam War.  He was a Baptist and a member of Little Rose of the Alps
Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Edith; three sons, James Antee of Houston, Tx,
Charles Antee and Ronald Antee, both of Columbus; a daughter, Bonnie Pullen of
Front Royal, Va; a brother Ramie Antee Jr. of Bureus, La; two sisters, Lille
Mae Thompson and Nellie Coolman, both of Montgomery, La; and 10 grandchildren.

Notes:
Herchel was the son of Ramie & Malinda Thompson Antee
He was the grandson of Gus & Josephine Dubois Antee and E. C. & Octavie Charon
Thompson.
