Baum Of Pollock Dies Wesley Goldberg Baum, 77, of Pollock, died of a stroke Friday, Nov. 2 at 9:15 a.m. at an Alexandria hospital. The Rev. Harold Brown officiated at the funeral services which were held Sunday from the Clear Creek Methodist Church at 2 p. m. Burial was in the Clear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Robertson, Marvin Baum, Jarrell Perry, Bruce Perry, Roy Perry and Lamar Hatfield. Baum was born in Pollock on Oct. 25, 1885 and was a life-long resident of Grant Parish. He married the former Nancy Collins, who survives him, in 1910 and was a retired farmer. Other survivors include: four sons, Harvey, Alvin and Aaron Baum, all of Po1lock, and Charles Baum of Winnfield; three, daughters, Mrs. George L. Perry, Mrs. Ethel Hatfield and Miss Bernice Baum, all of Pollock; one brother, Charles Baum of Pineville; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Pettway of Pineville, Mrs. Altha Nugent and Mrs. Bertie Leckie, both of Pollock, and Mrs. Mae Lee of Eureka, Calif. ; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
