He was a native of Pollock and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired automotive mechanic. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. James Love and George Carr officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery near Pollock under direction of Rush Funeral Home of Pineville. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Schatzle Bonner of Pollock; one son, Jimmy Peck of pollock; nine daughters, Margie White, Georgia Normand and Lola Bradford, all of Pollock, denise Cockerham, Renee Lagrand and Eva Williamson of Jena; Gracie Bradford of Hemphill, Texas, Jewell Moss of St. Augustine, Texas and Wanda Bosewell of Pineland, Texas; his mother, Sallie Bonner of Pollock; two sisters, Nora Glover and Mildred Gatheright, both of Pollock; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
