Last Rites Held For Mrs. Maude L. Brossette Saturday

Last rites for Mrs. Maude L. Brossette, 77, who died in Natchitoches September
27, 1946, were held at the Six-Bits Cemetery near Montgomery, Saturday, with
the Rev. Atkinson of Montgomery officiating.  Southern Funeral Home had charge
of the burial.

A native of Colfax, Mrs. Brossette had been making her home in Winnfield for
the past several years.  She was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving are her husband, Julia Brossette; two daughters, Mrs. Quincy Adams
and Mrs. Johnnie L. Corley, Winnfield; five sons, Buford (Bud) Brossette,
Jennie, Ark.; Dewitt Brossette, Montgomery; Hardy and Jessie Brossette,
Natchitoches; Walter Brossette, Cloutierville, La.; one brother, Dick Lovett,
Verda; one sister, Mrs. Susan Chelette, Colfax; 16 grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.
