She was the daughter of Wilson Prestridge, of ward 6, Grant parish, La., and went to her reward above, which her great faith had seized and steadfastly held to her dying hour. Sister Forette, as she was familiarly known to her parents, relatives and friends, was a devout Christian, tried and true. She was an obedient daughter, a kind sister, and a quiet sincere friend. Her afflictions and trials were many, but she bore them all with Christian fortitude. She was buried at the Summerfield Tabernacle graveyard, and many friends surrounded the grave to join in saying, "Farewell, but not forever." She leaves a father, step mother, two brothers and two sisters, and a sweet bright eyed little five year old daughter to mourn her loss. While standing around the grave we all thought her dying request would be appropriately expressed in St. Paul's language: "finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." 2 Cor. 13-11 ***
