CLAUDE ESTELLE SLAYTER BRUNSON, 27 died at a local clinic at 3:30 PM Sunday,
July 12, 1942.  She is survived by her husband, J. Elmer Brunson, of Colfax,
La. two sons, J.C. and Dloyd Brunson, of Colfax; one daughter, Lora Fay
Brunson, of Colfax; five brothers, Wesley of Dry Prong; William of Overton, 
Texas, Curtis of Overton, Texas, Alton of Gilmer, Texas, and Harold Slayter of
Dry Prong; five sisters Mrs. Dora Lewis of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Lucinda
Shaw of Oil City; Mrs. Macie Welch of Dry Prong, Mrs. Velma Monroe of Dry
Prong, and Mrs. Onnie Fox of Winnfield, and her mother Mrs. W.W. Slayter, of
Dry Prong. 

  Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove church at 2:30 PM this
Monday,July 13 and interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction
of Hixon Bros. Funeral Home. 

 Rev. E.O. Brackman and the Rev. V. K. Fletcher officiating at the burial
services.
