HERSHEL L. BRYANT

Services for Hershel Lee Bryant were at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of
Southern with the Rev. Doyle McGrew officiating.  Bural was in the Garden of
Memories Cemetery.

Bryant, 80 of Winnfield died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, in his residence.

He was a native of Hargis, a member of Goldonna Baptist church, and a veteran
of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie F. Bryant of Winnfield; three sons, Gerald
Bryant and William Dale Bryant, both of Houston, Texas and Jeffery Len Bryant
of Gonzales; two daughters, Lessie Mae Carpenter of Calvin and Mary Godwin of
Goldonna; one stepson, Aubrey Simpson of Freeport, Texas; one stepdaughter,
Liz Parnell of Blytheville, Ark; two brothers, J. W. Bryant of Verda and David
Gail Bryant of Winnfield; one sister, Bessie Young of Oberlin; 10
grandchildren, four step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
