Mrs. Cockerham, 64, Succumbs; Burial At Zion

Bertie Sallie Cockerham, 64, wife of Earlis Cockerham, died at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday February 24, 1966 in New Orleans.  She was a resident of Georgetown
and a native of Winnfield.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Cecil Townsend of Buna, Texas,
Glynn Townsend of Nowalk, Calif., James Cockerham of Georgetown, and Troy
Lamar Cockerham of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie C. Bruce of
Georgetown, and Mrs. Sallie C. Atwell of New Orleans, and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday in Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Doris
Dearman officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
