"Dooney" Collins, age 67 of Dry Prong, died Friday, 7 November 1997 in Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He was a former president of North Central Louisiana C.B. (Citizen's Band Radio) Club. He was a mason and past Grand Master of the masonic lodges at Colfax and Robeline. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Corps and U.S. Army. Survivors: Wife, Belinda Sue Collins of Dry Prong; Son: William Newton Collins of Alexandria; Daughters Linda Collins DuBois of Montgomery & Debra "Sissy" Collins Jordan of Ruston (La.) Sister: Lillie Mae Daniels of Rochester, NY 7 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren Services to held Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Lamar Carpenter, Jimmy Bryant and Richard Butts officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hixson Brothers in Oak Grove Cemetery.
