CORMANE BORN AUGUST 18,1889 WINNFIELD, La.--John Baptist Cormane, 78, died at 11:55 pm Sunday at his residence in Montgomery. He was a farmer and a native of Grant Parish. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m today in the Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery. Revs. Clarence Brooks and Ed Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of Hixon Bros. Funeral Home, Winnfield. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carried Mae Cormane; four sons, George Cormane of Natchitoches, Paul Cormane of Shreveport, J.B. Cormane of Fort Worth, Tex., and W.C. Cormane of Minden; seven daughters, Mrs. Maudie Stroud of Montgomery, Mrs. Stella Garza of Natchitoches, Mrs. Gertrude Reedy of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Gerti Perry of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Lorene Wilson of Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs. Berti Lee King of Shreveport and Mrs. Sarah Jane McLaughlin of Monroe. 42 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Paul Edward Cormane, Herschel Garza, Bobby Wayne Stroud, Grover Stroud, Harold Stroud, and Ray Stroud. NOTE by Sharon Qunell Stroud: Actual date of death September 17, 1967
