Cox, Sr. Services for Iley J. Cox, Sr., were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hebron Bapitst Church at Dry Prong with the Rev. Richard DeBusk and Lloyd Whitman officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothes, Pineville. Cox, 82, of Dry Prong, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 1983 in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria. A lifelong resident of Grant Parish, he was self-employed carpenter and plumber. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lela M. Cox of Dry Prong, one son, Iley "Sonny" Cox, Jr., of Dry Prong; two daughters, Mary Faircloth and Sue Manuel, both of Dry Prong; one brother, W. G. Cox of Atlanta, La.; five sisters, Bessie Deen and Tressie Brooks, both of Dry Prong, Lessie Hammack of Pineville, Lois Gentsch of Washington, Miss., and Jewell Allen of Ball; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
