JOHN DEAN The Colfax Chronicle, March 14, 1914 DIED At one o'clock Thursday, March 5th the death angel entered and took Mrs. A. Dean, the beloved wife of Mr. John Dean, from her loved ones on earth to those in heaven. Her remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Mrs. Dean was a kind, patient and loving wife and mother; never grew impatient, too tired or felt too badly to administer tot eh sufferings of her loved ones; was never so happy as while trying to ease their pains. Home can never be the same, her place can never be filled, the heartaches of the husband and little children can never be healed. It is so hard to give her up and the sorrow seems greater than we can bear; but, dear ones, He who knoweth and doeth all things for the best saw that which we cannot--saw that it was best to take her form this world of sin and sorrow to that home of joy and peace where sorrow never comes; where heartaches are never felt and where good-byes are never said. We must try to realize that it is not for long and that she will be standing at the golden gate with our loved ones who have gone before to welcome our coming--and not weep too much. Let us go to Him who never forsakes or tires of listening to our prayers but will help us to bear all our burdens, will comfort us in our distress and help us to so live that we, like her will be ready and willing to go when Gods summons comes.
