Last Rites For Mrs. Melissa Dick Held; Burial In Atlanta

Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, in Bethel Baptist Church near
Colfax for Mrs. Melissa McLemore Dick, 84, of Dry Prong, who died in an
Alexandria hospital Sunday.

Burial was in the Atlanta cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home.

She is survived by a son, Richard Dick of Dubach; three stepsons Ambrose Dick
of Cotton Valley, Rodney Dick, Shreveport, Gayle Dick, Alexandria; four
daughters, Mrs. Euna Sandifer of Colfax, Mrs. Mary Sandifer of Dubach, Mrs.
Thelma Weder of New Orleans, and Mrs. Ione Brown of Baton Rouge; a
step-daughter, Mrs. Bertha Booth of Minden; a sister, Mrs. Sinia Till of
Pineville; 10 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
