Doris R. Dowty
Services for Doris R. Dowty were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 in Kingsville
Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Spencer officiating.  Burial was in 
Pollock Cemetery, Pollock, under direction of Hixson Bros., Pineville.
Mrs. Dowty, 58, of Tioga died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 in St.
Joseph Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
She was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church and a native of Ruston.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas "Jeff" Dowty of Tioga; two sons,
Michael E. Dowty of Pineville and Paul D. Dowty of Colorado; three
brothers, James B. Gates of Monroe, and C. D. Gates and Lee E. Gates,
both of Pollock; three sisters, Mary Lee Hathorn of Pollock; Jewel E.
Peters of Quincy, Fla., and Bobbie Price of Pineville; her mother, 
Mrs. Lee Gates Sr. of Pollock; and two grandchildren.
