Darrell L. Evans

DRY PRONG -- Services for SSGT. Darrell L. Evans will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard DeBusk
officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery under direction of
Hixson Bros.

Evans, 68, of Dry Prong died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in the
Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War
having served in the Infantry and Airborne divisions.

Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Evans of Dry Prong; three sons,
Fred Evans, Jeffrey Evans and Michael Evans, all of Dry Prong; one
daughter, Debra Douglas of Sacramento, Calif.; adopted daughter, Linda
Keen of Tioga; his mother, Vera Brooks of Dry Prong; and seven
grandchildren.
