Col. Chester Carroll Fogleman, USAF retired will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Colfax Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Crider and Lee Jenkins officiating. Burial, under the direction of Hixson Bros., Pineville, will follow at the Colfax Cemetery with full military honors by Barksdale Air Force Base Honor Guard. Fogleman, 91, of Colfax died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Grant Manor in Colfax after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Morrow and a member of Colfax Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club and Colfax Masonic Lodge No. 259 F&AM. He was an organizer of the Colfax Pecan Festival. He was a World War II and the Korean War veteran and he was an alderman for 18 years and he served four terms as mayor of Colfax. Survivors include one son, Louis Carroll Fogleman of Georgetown, Texas; a daughter, Sue Ellen Williams of Monroe; three brothers, Lt. Col. E.L. "Chuck" Fogleman, U.S. Army Retired of Whitney, Texas, L.S. Fogleman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Dr. C. W. Fogleman of Lake Charles; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the church. Memorials may be made to The John O. Fogleman Fund at Louisiana College, P.O.
