S. M. Fowler, Sr., 58, Succumbs; Rites At Mt. Zion

Funeral services for S. M. Fowler, Sr., 58, of Wheeling, were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church with the Revs. G. A. McVay and Roy Moore
officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Mr. Fowler died Thursday, October 10, 1974 after suffering a heart attack in
Bienville Parish where he was working as a pipeline welder.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Billie Fowler of Wheeling; two sons, Sam
Fowler, Jr., of Houston, Texas, and Bill Fowler of Natchitoches; one daughter,
Miss Genevieve Fowler of Wheeling; father, Sam Fowler of Wheeling; two
brothers, Rayford Fowler of Brownsville, Texas, and W. A. Fowler of Winnsboro,
and three grandchildren.
