MARIE FOX Killed By Falling Beam 
 
  Marie Fox 15; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Fox of Prospect died Monday
night June 21, 1954 of injuries suffered when a 4x4 beam collapsed under the
weight of a porch swing and fell, crushing her skull.  

  A report from Dr. Walter Murrell, Rapides Parish coroner, revealed that the
girl died at 6:45 pm Monday; the accident had occurred at 1:30pm.  Cause of
death was given as traumatic cerebral hemorrhaged.  

  Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday at the Corinth Baptist Church
with burial in Frazier Cemetery near Bentley.  

  She is survived by her parents; two brothers, John Walton Fox and Billy Ray
Fox; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Fox and Patsy Ruth Fox, all of Dry Prong.
