Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana. Guynes, 64, of Pollock died Sunday, June 7, 1998, near Dry Prong. He was a native of Georgetown and a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Pollock. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War serving in the Red Horse Unit. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Guynes of Pollock; four sons, Johnny Bryant Guynes and Cleo John Guynes Jr., both of Tyler, Texas, Allen Wayne Ferguson of Pollock and Ronnie Clyde "Peanut" Lang of Tacoma, Wash.; four daughters, Rebecca Aline Leingang of Beatty, Nev., Natalie Wynn Mann of Nederland, Texas, Jeannie Rene Woolf of Sour Lake, Texas, and Dusti Lynn Guynes of St. Maurice; his mother, Josephine Guynes of Atlanta; two brothers, Jerry Guynes and Sam Guynes, both of Atlanta; one sister, Shirley Jane Fletcher of Urania; and 21 grandchildren..
