MONTGOMERY - Frank "Buddy" Holmes, 79, of Montgomery died Monday, March 22,
1999, in his residence.

Arrangements will be announced by Gonzaque Purple Shield, Alexandria.

MONTGOMERY - Services for Frank "Buddy" Holmes will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Nettie Ranel officiating. Burial
will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Gonzaque-Purple Shield,
Alexandria.

Holmes, 79, of Montgomery died Monday, March 22, 1999, in his residence.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Holmes of Montgomery and Dennis Holmes
of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Alice Holmes of Detroit, Mich., Evelyn
Holmes and Lisa Evans, both of Montgomery, and Cathy Holmes of Dallas,
Texas; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
