Huey Tademy officiating. Burial will be in Raven Camp Cemetery under direction of Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home, New Orleans, and Good Shepherd, Alexandria. Mrs. LaBeaud, 90, of New Orleans died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in Chicago, Ill. She was a native of Colfax and had resided in New Orleans for over 74 years. She was employed as a domestic technician and was an active member of the Eastern Star, New Orleans Chapter 34. She also volunteered over 25 years of service to the Louisiana Department of Veteran's Affairs, donating over 5,000 hours of service. She attended Beecher Memorial Church of New Orleans and served as a missionary worker. Survivors include one son, Alphonsa LaBeaud of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Cosine Murphy and Terris Murphy; six sisters, Ann Murphy Pitts, Elda L. Murphy Lewis, Acloud Murphy Mitchell, Irma Murphy Reed, Estella Murphy Scott and Ernestine Murphy Jones; one grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
