Essie Nita Lang

(July 11, 1909 - February 25, 2007)



Mrs. Essie Nita (Chandler) Lang, age 97, of Montgomery, La., passed away 

Sunday, February 25, 2007, at

the Versailles Care Center in Alexandria, La. Mrs. Lang was a member of First 

Baptist Church of

Montgomery, La. and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 40 years of 

service . She was the

daughter of the late James G. Chandler and the late Ellen (Bice) Chandler. Mrs. 

Lang was also preceded

in death by her husband, R. B. Lang



She is survived by her



One Daughter, Kay Lang Snyder of Montgomery, La.



One grandson, Russell Lang Snyder and wife Pam of Alexandria, La.



Two step great-grandchildren, Amanda Hinson and Tyler Saucier



One step great-great-grandchild, Jace Hinson



The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to service time Tuesday, February 

27, 2007 at the First

Baptist Church of Montgomery, La. Funeral services will be held at the First 

Baptist Church of

Montgomery, La. at 2:00 PM Tuesday, with Dr. Rick Henson and Dr. Ray Teal 

officiating. Interment will

be at Mars Hill Cemetery in Verda, La. under the direction of Southern Funeral 

Home of Winnfield.



Reginald Kuhlmann, Randell Fletcher, James Slaughter, James Durham, Kevin 

Murphy and James Chandler

will serve as pallbearers. Maurice Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer.



The family asks that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Montgomery, 

P.O. Box 475, Montgomery,

La. 71454
