Henry Laningham, who was born 13 April 1875 at Jena in Catahoula Parish was
crushed to death by machinery at the Big Creek Lumber Company mill, only 15
minutes after the new equipment was set into motion.  He lived here some 3
years and he won a popularity to be sought by anyone.  He was a nephew of our
venerable Capt. J.M. Rucker.
