Funeral Rites For O. M. Lashley To Be Thursday

Oscar Marion Lashley, 79, of Route 1, Atlanta, Verda Community, was dead on
arrival, Tuesday, August 10, 1971 at Ward Seven Hospital in Montgomery.  He
had suffered an apparent heart attack.

He was a farmer.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Sardis Baptist
Church with Rev. Deloy Shows officiating.  Interment, under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, will be in the Sardis Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lola Lashley of Verda, two brothers, Homer
Lashley of Verda and Marshall Lashley of Tioga, and a number of nieces and
nephews.
