Death Claims Mrs. M. E. Long of Dry Prong, La.

Mrs. M. E. Long, 71, died at her home in Dry Prong, La., Feb. 18, 1945 after a
short illness.  Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Zion near Montgomery,
La., Feb. 19, with the Rev. C. M. Robinson of Winnfield conducting the last
rites.

Mrs. Long was the widow of the late Huey P. Long, Sr.  She was the mother of
five children, two daughters and three sons by a previous marriage.  They are: 
Mrs. Desie Richardson, Rhinehart, La., Raymond Campbell, Pearl Harbor, T. H.,
Mrs. Lessie Carter Campbell, and Shelby Campbell, all of Winnfield.

Acting as pallbearers at Mrs. Long's funeral were Mixon Bankston, Bruce
Blewer, Dewey Watson, Otho Maxwell, Bablie Reed, and J. P. Gresham.
