James L. Manning

COLFAX - Services for James L. Manning will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in
First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie H. Brew Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Farenzie Cemetery under direction of Winnfield,
Alexandria.

Manning, 73, of Colfax died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in Veteran's
Affairs Medical Center.

He was retired from Marler Ford Center after 40 years service and
served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include seven sons, Dewey Manning, Herbert Manning, Dale
Manning, James H. Manning, Marty Manning and Roderick Manning, all of
Colfax, and Brian Manning of Alexandria; three daughters, Brenda M.
Davis, Martha Manning and Vikki Hagan, all of Colfax; two brothers,
Louis Manning III of Houston, Texas, and Earl Harris of Alexandria; 22
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
