Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Colfax under direction of Hixson Bros., Alexandria. Mrs. Newton, 65, of Dry Prong died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Verda. Survivors include her husband, Richard Glen "Dick" Newton of Dry Prong; one son, Glen Randall "Randy" Newton of Channelview, Texas; three daughters, Delores Ellen Stegall of Leona, Texas, Debra Ann Bailey of Houston, Texas, and Tammie Renee Bolling of Channelview, Texas; one brother, Lonnie Fletcher of Colfax; one sister, Margie Newton of Silver Springs, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
