COLFAX -- Graveside services for Pvt. Joseph N. Nugent, U.S.M.C., will be at 2
p.m. Wednesday in Colfax Cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Alexandria.
Pvt. Nugent, 20, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, while
on maneuvers at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Fla., attending St. Matthews
School and graduating from Bishop Kenny in 1995. He joined the Marine Corps in
1996.
Survivors include his parents, Aubrey Lynn and Martha A. Nugent of
Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Nugent and Joyel Nugent of
Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Joshua Nugent, John Nugent and Jeremy
Nugent all of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his grandparents, Herschel Nugent and C
. E. Smith, both of Colfax.
