P. D-2, Co;umn 4. Ray D. O'Banion, age 83 of Colfax, La. died 8 May 1997 in
Rapides GeneralHospital in Alexandria. 

He was a member and deacon of Summerfield Baptist Church. A U.S. Army veteran
of World War II and a farmer and logger. 

Survivors:  Sister, Genevieve Johnson of Baton Rouge, La.  Daughters: Barbara
O. Jones of Lafayette, La. and Jimmie Lane Jackson of Montgomery, La.  
6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services: To be held on Saturday at 10 am in Summerfield Baptist Church

 Burial: In Colfax Cemetery, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home
of Alexandria.
