E. Pollard Dies In Hawaii Thayer O. Pollard, Jr., 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Pollard of Colfax, and grandson of Mrs. W. E. Pollard of Winnfield, died on April 24 of respiratory disease while serving with the U. S. Air Force in Hawaii, according to information received this week. Pollard was a pharmacist in the Air Force, and it is believed he died while traveling at high altitude in a plane transferring patients from Honolulu. He suffered from asthma, his grandmother said. He resigned from Northwestern State College in Natchitoches last January after three years, to enlist. Before entering NSC, he attended and graduated from Haughton High School. After enlisting in the Air Force he graduated from an Air Force pharmacists school in Utah. He is survived by his parents, a brother, John of Colfax, and his grandmother, Mrs. W. E. Pollard.
