WILLIAM E. PREUETT DIES AT AGE OF 89

William Emory preuett of Route 2, Colfax, died at his residence on
Wednesday, june 3, 1959, following a lengthy illness. 

Funeral services were held at the First national Funeral Home in Alexandria on
Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m with the Rev. Benny Hindmon, assisted by the Rev.
H.O. Pinckard and the Rev. W.D. Carson officiating. 

Burial was in the Greenwood memorial Park in Pineville. Pallbeares were
Lonnie, Ralph and Aaron Brown, A.R. Futrell, huey Dyess and Albert Anthony.
The deceased was born November 25, 1869 and came to Grant Parish at the age of
six. He married Idulie Busby, who preceeded him in death September 27, 1936.
He was member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was a farmer until he
retired due to failing health. 

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Amanda Richards, Mrs. Georgia Vinson,
Mrs. Mary Christy and Mrs. Willie Bell Frost, all of Colfax; 14 grandchildren
and 30 great grandchildren.
