S. R. (Buddy) Rambo Jr. of Georgetown died at 9:30 pm Wednesday May 5, 
1971 in Oschner Hospital in New Orleans. He was a resident of Georgetown 
and was Area Supervisor of Food Distribution for the State Department of 
Education.

Mr. Rambo was a member of the Selma Baptist church, a member of 
Georgetown Lodge No 298 FEam and a Navy vetran of World War 11

Funeral services were held at 2pm Friday May 7 at the Selma Baptist 
Church with Rev. Freddie Dixon, Rev James Simons and Dr W. L. Halcomb 
officiating. Buriel was in the Georgetown Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Glenn Carver, Martel Carver, Bennie J. Davis, Joe Davis 
and Jeff Barrett.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs Jaunita (Roberts) Rambo of Georgetown, 
two sons, Robert W. Rambo of Georgetown and Sammy E Rambo of Alexandria; 
one brother Willard Rambo of Georgetown, four sisters, Mrs S J. D avis 
of Grand Prairie, Tx. Mrs Helen Merritt of El Paso, Tx Mrs Rosa Lee Gray 
and Mrs Dorothy Johnson both of Pollock and three grandchildren.
