Robert C. Taylor, 72, Succumbs; Rites At Iatt

Funeral services for Robert Clinton Taylor, 72, of Route 1, Winnfield, were
held at 3 p.m. Friday at Iatt Baptist Church, with Rev. Henry Mott and Rev.
Jack Jones officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, September 18, 1968 at the Baptist Hospital in
Alexandria after a brief illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nellie Taylor; two sons, D. W. Taylor of
Winnfield and Ray Taylor of Atlanta; seven daughters, Mrs. Ivy Powers of
Shreveport, Mrs. Novie Evans and Mrs. Kathryn Bennett, both of Pineville, Mrs.
Ella Mae Spikes of Winnfield, Mrs. Lucille Gore of New Orleans, Mrs. Merline
Whittington of Ferriday, and Mrs. Gloria Powell of Hineston; 35 grandchildren
and 23 great grandchildren.  Also, one sister, Mrs. C. W. James survives.
