All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 12, 1930 Winn Parish Enterprise Death Comes To Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Atlanta Following an illness of six weeks duration, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, 72 years old, died at her daughter's home, Mrs. C. O. Holland, Saturday night, June 7. Mrs. Smith has lived in Atlanta and adjoining towns for a number of years and has made many friends by her pleasing personality and has inspired many of the younger set as well as those of mature years. She was a member of the Methodist Protestant Church and took an active part until her health failed. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. P. M. Caraway at Summerfield near Colfax at 3:30 Monday afternoon. Mrs. Smith was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive. They are: Frank Smith of Alexandria, Grady and Bryant of Houston, Texas, Luther Smith, West Carroll Parish, Max Smith, Verda, Mrs. Ed Bufkins, Elizabeth, Mrs. C. O. Holland and Mrs. K. A. Thomas, Atlanta. Besides her children she leaves brothers and sisters and quite a number of grandchildren and friends to mourn her loss.
