MONTGOMERY - Graveside services for Herbert L. "Jiggs" Woods will be at 11
a.m. today in Montgomery Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Daniels officiating.
Burial with Masonic services by Montgomery Masonic Lodge No. 168 will be under
direction of Southern, Winnfield.

Woods, 78, of Waco, Texas, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, in Veterans Affairs
Hospital, Muskogee, Okla.

He was a native of Montgomery, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a 32nd
Mason and Shriner. He was treasurer for Angelina County, Texas, prior to his
retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Woods of Tulsa, Okla., and Jerry Lee Woods
of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Gatlan Woods of Houston, Texas; one brother,
Pollard Woods of Baton Rouge; one sister, Lucille Decote of Shreveport; seven
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
