YOUNGBLOOD The Colfax Chronicle August 9, 1935 MRS. J. J. YOUNGBLOOD DIED AT DRY PRONG --- FUNERAL TODAY Mrs. Adeline Youngblood aged 81 years, 7 months and 14 days, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Frazier, at Dry Prong, LA., yesterday (Thursday, Aug. 8th.) at 7:30 A. M. Her death was sudden and without warning. Mrs Youngblood was born Dec. 25, 1853, and was well known by the older citizens throughout this section , where whe had lived most of her life. Her husband , the late J. J. Youngblood , was active in the farm life of the Colfax section, having for many years been connected with the management of the Farenzi plantation adjoining Colfax. He preceded her to the grave some twelve to fifteen years. She is survived by five daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. George Brister of Bentley, LA. ; Mrs. Richard Brown of Dry Prong, LA.; Will Youngblood of Zenoria, La.; Mrs. W. C. Travis , Colfax, LA; Ed. Youngblood of Darlove, Miss.; Mrs. W. M. Frazier of Dry Prong, LA; and Mrs. Albert Lester , Greenville, Miss.; also a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this morning from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Frazier, at Dry Prong, to Bethel Church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Bethel Cemetery.
