Died, at Jackson, La., on Monday, March 15th, 1915, Mr. John Bateman 
Alexander, after several years ailment. Mr. Alexandria's remains were brought 
to New Iberia on Tuesday morning and the funeral was held from the Epiphany 
church at 11:30 o'clock, the Masonic Order of this City attending the 
obsequies in a body. Mr. Alexander had many friends here, having managed for 
several years the large dry goods emporium of the late John Taylor. He leaves 
a widow, nee Nettie Childs, one brother, Mr. Richard Alexander and Mrs. Jas. 
Kemper of New Orleans to mourn his demise.

NECROLOGICAL. - Died, at Jackson, La., on Monday, March 15, 1915, at 5 o'clock a.
m., John Bateman Alexander, formerly a merchant of this city, and brother-in-law
of Mrs. John Devalcourt and Mrs. Earl Barnett. The remains were brought here for
interment on Tuesday.

The members of Aurora Lodge, 193, F. and A. M., met the train at the S. P. Depot
and took charge of the remains, escorting them to the Episcopal Church where the
funeral services were held, Rev. R. R. Diggs officiating. Interment was made at
Rose Hill Cemetery, under the auspices of the Masonic Fraternity. Mr. Alexander
was a member of Louisiana Lodge No. 102, F & A. M., of New Orleans, La.
