MRS. REMY BAGARRY.

Death invaded the home of Mr. Leon Bagarry on Monday afternoon, December 27th 
at 2 o'clock and claimed as its own, Mrs. Remy Bagarry, nee Marie Blanc, the 
venerable mother of Messrs. Leon and Alex Bagarry. Deceased was born on 
February 23d, 1842 and spent almost her entire life in New Iberia where she 
reared her two sons and a numbers of grand-children. She was held in great 
esteem by all who knew her and up to her death enjoyed the best of health. 
Besides her two sons, she leaves a brother, Mr. Frank Blanc to mourn her 
demise. On Christmas day she was taken suddenly ill and continued to grow 
weaker until life was extinct. The funeral was held from St. Peter's Catholic 
church in the presence of a large concourse of sympathetic friends and 
relatives the following afternoon at four o'clock.
