With to-day's mail Mrs. Forsythe received the news of the death of Mr. Maxwell 
Bain who was killed in battle at the Daranelles, August 21st. Mr. Maxwell Bain 
and his brother, Mr. James Bain, who is now in England seriously wounded, are 
sons of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bain of Christchurch, New Zealand and nephews of 
the late Mr. W. J. Forsythe and Mrs. Forsythe of New Iberia.

The sad news reached here yesterday from New Zeland of the death of Mr. Maxwell
Bain who was killed in the battle at the Dardanenelles. Mr. Maxwell Bain was the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barn (sic) of New Zealand and the nephew of the late
Mr. W. J. Forsyth and Mrs. Forsyth of New Iberia.
