After long and patient suffering, the venerable and esteemed Mrs. A. L. 
Bergerie passed away this morning at the advanced age of 82 years, surrounded 
by loving and devoted daughters, who ministered lovingly and with admirable 
devotion to their loved one throughout her long illness. Deceased was a grand 
type of that sturdy old Creole stock that is steadily passing away, and was 
the very embodiment of noble womanhood. The funeral will take place Sunday 
morning, at 10 o'clock from the Catholic church.
