DIED: - At her home on upper Main Street, this city, on Tuesday Nov 5th, at 5:10 p m Mrs. A. M. Bernard, nee Mary Magdalene Henrietta Klepping. Born Jan'y (sic) 19th, 1850, at New Orleans, La. The funeral took place from the First M. E. Church. So. on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, largely attended by sorrowing relatives and friends of the family. source: New Iberia Enterprise and Independent Observer. (New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, November 09, 1912, Image 3 DEATH OF MRS. A. M. BERNARD. Died, at the family residence in New Iberia, on Tuesday, November 5th, 1912, Mrs. A. M. Bernard, nee Mary M. H. Klepping, born in the City of New Orleans on January 19th, 1850. Mrs. Bernard had been a resident in New Iberia for upwards of thirty-five years, where she raised a large family of children who were a pride to the household, all being useful citizens to the community in which they reside. Among them being Messrs. A. A. Bernard, W. J. Bernard, E. L. Bernard, A. C. Bernard, R. A. Bernard and Mesdames C. L. Steen of Abbeville, La., and H. A. Kimbell of Jennings, La. The funeral was held from the Methodist church, Rev. Dodson officiating, on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
