Died, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer Broussard, on Sunday 
last, Mrs. E. J. Boas, aged 24 years and 6 months. We extend heartfelt sympathy 
to the bereaved young husband in the sad affliction that has befallen him.

IN MEMORIAM.

On Sunday, April 9th, at 8:30 P. M., at the residence of her parents, Mrs. E. 
J. Boas, nee Louisa Broussard eldest daughter of Carmela Hayes and Mortimer 
Broussard, aged 24 years and 6 months. She closed her eyes in death, after a 
patient and lingering illness she willingly gave up all she possessed in this 
world. For many months she has been slowly fading away leaving devoted husband, 
loving parents, sisters and little brothers to grieve for her. She was a loving 
wife and gentle mother; the only comfort to parents, husband and friends is 
that she passed away as quietly and peacefully as her life had been, leaving 
all her dear ones that have been watching tenderly over her for many months. 
She leaves to those who knew her a tender memory of her sweet girlhood. Only a 
wife and mother for a short time.

This is the only comfort that can soften the hearts of all her dear ones - she 
was willing to go; and suffered little passing away. May the glorious light of 
Heaven shine on her soul, and bring joy in reward for a sacrificing spirit, 
that kept patient to the last dying moment, is the wish of A FRIEND OF THE 
FAMILY.
