DEATH OF GERVIA BOUDREAUX.

The death of the venerable Mr. Gervia Boudreaux last Thursday morning which 
occurred at his home on Lourd's lane at 7:30 o'clock A. M. cast a gloom in 
the hearts of his numerous friends and relatives throughout the Parish. Mr. 
Boudreaux had reached his eighty-fifth milestone and enjoyed remarkable 
health until the morning that Grim Reaper invaded his home. He was a native 
of Lafourche parish and settled in Little Fausse Pointe many years ago. 
About a year since he sold his possessions and removed to New Iberia. His 
change of residence in his advanced years prayed on his mind to such an 
extent recently that he had to be kept under close surveilance (sic) by 
members of his family. Besides his aged devoted widow, he leaves six 
daughters and four sons to mourn his demise. The funeral was conducted by 
Rev. Langlois on Friday morning at eleven o'clock.

DIED. - On Thursday, Mr. Gervia Boudreaux died at his residence on Lourd's 
lane, New Iberia, at 7:30 o'clock a. m., at the age of 85 years. He was a 
native of Lafourche parish. The funeral took place from the Catholic church 
at Jeanerette on Friday at 9:30.
