Young Willis Bouligny who through some unaccountable manner fell and cut one 
of his arms on a bottle, which broke in his fall upon it at the Estorge drug 
store some two weeks since, died from his wounds on Christmas night. Tetnus 
having set in despite all the medical attention given to the unfortunate boy. 
His remains were taken to St. Martinville the following day and interred in 
the family burial grounds. The lad was about 18 years of age and assisted as 
an errand boy around the store when he was not otherwise employed.

A FATAL ACCIDENT.

Willie Bouligny, son of Louis Bouligny, an employee of the Estorge Drug Co., 
whole sale department, fell from a step ladder some two weeks ago. He landed 
amidst a number of large bottles and demijohns. A number of the glass 
vessels were broken, resulting in inflicting severe wounds about the 
shoulder and arm. By Christmas day inflamation had set in in an alarming 
form. During that day he died. His funeral took place from St. Peters 
Catholic Church on Sunday evening. He was about 20 years of age. We learn 
that no one was near him when the accident occurred. He had evidently gone 
to the top of the shelving and had probably lost his balance in attempting 
to shift his ladder.
